Thermoforming Setup Operator
Manufacturing plastic packaging
Company located in beautiful Idaho is looking for a thermoforming machine operator.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Setup and operate one or more thermoforming machines. Perform setups on all new jobs, maintaining quality and efficiency of products. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, along with performing repetitive motions. Assist in all production phases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Check production schedule daily
Properly remove tooling once a job is complete and store in the correct location
Stage material and tooling in anticipation of upcoming jobs
Be aware of upcoming job requirements by reviewing parameter sheets
Install scheduled tooling and perform first runs to ensure proper quality of parts
Complete and maintain parameter sheets as needed for new or revised jobs
Monitor material inventory
Assist packers to keep rejects to a minimum and periodically inspect parts for quality
Report any machine malfunctions to your supervisor immediately and assist in maintenance/repair as requested
Have good housekeeping by keeping floors free of debris, clutter, liquids, and grease
Assist packers during breaks
Be able to multitask and work with different specifications on each new job
Have excellent attendance
Consistently load roll material onto the machines and ensure scrap bins are dumped when full
Stand for full shifts, use hand tools to maintains machine settings, and lift tooling components repeatedly
Continually monitor machines to ensure all settings are correct and parts remain high quality
Maintain Panic Plastics quality and safety policies
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience operating thermoforming machines
Have troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Know and understand how to use personal hand tools safely to adjust and maintain machine settings
Have a good work ethic and be able to work independently
