Accounts Receivable Clerk

DescriptionAccountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. There is an upcoming job opening at this quickly growing accounting team for someone interested in great career growth potential and a great benefits package. If you are able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, you are a good fit for this position.Major responsibilities Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization Verify documents and codes Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for paymentFor immediate consideration for this Accounts Receivable Clerk role, apply online at www.accountemps.com, e-mail your resume to Kayla.Worrell@Accountemps.com, and then call us at 563-359-3995.RequirementsAdditional Qualifications Include: Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired Microsoft Excel experience preferred Experience with SAP Accounts Receivable (AR) experience Proficiency in 10 Key Command of 10 Key Accounting 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable Experience with ERP systems Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policyAccountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
