OverviewSOS International, LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Rock Island, Illinois to be responsible for performing a variety of shipping and receiving tasks to handle all incoming and outgoing materials, prepares material for shipment by following proper shipping policies and procedures, and verifies all incoming materials against purchase orders to ensure accurate shipment coming in from suppliers.Responsibilities

Receives material from suppliers, loads/unloads trucks and delivers to appropriate department/location.

Reviews and verifies items for shipment are consistent with orders placed; confirms quantities, destination, and method of delivery.

Documents all errors related to orders that are shipped and received.

Responsible for sorting, counting, packaging, unpacking inventory which is shipped or received.

Manually enters data into a computer system for tracking location and quantity of inventory.

Performs other miscellaneous tasks related to shipments and incoming materials (i.e., makes copies, files records, labels inventory).

Counts, weighs, and records materials moved or handled in an ERP system.

Responsible for the storage and organization of material in inventory.

Develop cost estimates for shipping requirements.

Enter purchase requisitions into an ERP system to initiate purchasing actions.

Mark items as received into the ERP system as items are delivered.

Preparing, documenting, and delivering inventory for disposal or turn in.

Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization.

Performs logistics program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product.

Creates, executes and monitors through completion shipping documents such as Commercial Bills of lading (CBL) and Government Bills of Lading (GBL).

Reconciles automated systems in use of tracking, monitoring and shipping. Applies expertise in commercial and DOD packaging requirements.

Opens containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.

Loads and unloads materials on or off pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit using hand tools.

Attaches tags or labels to materials or otherwise marks information.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.

Four years of related experience.

Knowledge and experience to operate a forklift

In scope Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensed to operate a forklift is desired.

Fluency in a foreign language.

Working Conditions

Standard work conditions for a warehouse environment

Regular lifting of items up to 50lbs when preparing or unloading shipments

Travel occasionally, up to 15% of the time, to manage inventory at multiple locations
