DescriptionAccountemps is currently seeking an experienced full time, Insurance Specialist. The Insurance Specialist is responsible for the posting of insurance ERA and paper check payments, collection of delinquent accounts, and insurance receivables.Job duties include: Electronic and manual payment posting of ERA’s, EFTs, insurance checks and patient payments. Logging of payments to ensure all captured and balanced to the bank and accounts receivable. Review of Accounts receivable aging to identify delinquent accounts, insurance issues, and in ensure timely filing. Follow-up with insurance companies regarding accounts that are identified as being delinquent. Performs various payer communications by contacting payers to obtain remittance information, and may resubmit claims to third-party payers for reimbursement. Follows and reports status of payer issues with regard to denials to management Assists with phone inquiries from patients regarding their bills.Insurance Specialist are encouraged to apply immediately. Candidates should also we driven and have excellent attention to detail and follow up. You will be working in a fast paced, team oriented environment so excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are imperative as well.
