Position Description:Position Summary:The Network Engineer reports to the Manager of Network Engineering. This position is responsible for the delivery of solutions for all security solutions as it relates to local network, WAN, and firewall solutions. This position will ensure that the network systems are properly planned, installed, configured, secured, and maintained. The candidate will develop, document, and implement best practices and standards. The individual will work closely with the business IT, planning, engineering, and operations teams to create solutions that scale and can be leveraged and supported broadly for a fast-growing company. The candidate will provide technical leadership and work on multiple projects or issues of high complexity that require in depth knowledge of multiple technical areas.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Oversee the engineering of network security infrastructure: firewalls, proxies, WAN connectivity, cloud network, and cloud security.

Responsible for engineering of the LAN and WAN environments for the Reyes family of businesses

Development and engineering of network solutions based on architectural roadmaps, including Cloud, ACI, SD-WAN and other networking technologies

Responsible for the technical day-to-day operations of the network solutions including work prioritization, incident, problem and change management.

Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in technology discipline or 6 years of experience in network engineering.

5+ years of experience with network planning, design, and implementing mission critical LAN, WAN, network security, and wireless network infrastructures, including SDWAN and ACI

5+ years of hands on and working knowledge experience with firewalls, proxies, routers, switches, and WAN connectivity.

2+ years of hands on experience with setting up networks and network security within Microsoft cloud platforms.

Experience with medium to large enterprises with multiple remote locations.

Ability to understand enterprise security requirements, develop designs and solutions that align and meet requirements for the IT and business roadmaps

2+ years of experience working with application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support the most efficient and stable security capabilities.

Strong ability to clearly document system design elements including use of appropriate documentation tools

Must be able to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills in previously mentioned areas.

2+ years of experience with 24 x 7 support leadership in conjunction with a managed service provider.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences

Ability to work extended hours or weekends as necessary

Travel –10% annually.

This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Certifications: CCNP, CCVP, or CCIE, Palo Alto

Cisco ACI and VXLan and SDWan networking

Working knowledge of WAN technologies including but not limited to MPLS, DMVPN, IPSEC and SDWAN.

Working knowledge of SIEM systems and procedures

Load balancing technologies

DNS DHCP technologies
