enterprise platform for the Optum Care business. The team is working on
building a medical management platform using the latest technologies and the
Azure public cloud. Features include care coordination, disease management,
prior authorizations, utilization management etc…These
roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering,
testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research
and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery.With
every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality
into every output. This also includes
evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks;
build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion
around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on
future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative
ways.Primary Responsibilities:
Develop create and modify computer software applicationsin an agile and fast phase environment.
Working independently with minimal guidance on multiple tasks across multiple scrumteams.
Ensuring code standards and code quality and security aremet.
Working closely with product, making sure applicationsare meeting business needs.
Understanding application architecture and design,suggesting improvements and updates to application architecture.
Design and developresilient, reliable, scalable and self-healing solutions to meet and exceedcustomer requirements
Relieve the team of “churn” and “waste” by introducingautomation of menial tasks
Collaborate with engineers on partner-teams to buildcohesive and optimal solutions
Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and writtenforms, and be able to present and demonstrate work to technical andnon-technical stakeholders
Mentor junior members of the engineering team to developand perform as highly as possible

4+ years ofexperience in software development
3+ years ofexperience in Java, Spring
3+ years of experiencein Relational Databases
3+ years ofexperience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Object orienteddesign
Experience working in an Agile environment
Familiarity with Microservices concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, andContinuous Delivery
Experience building and deploying applications to the cloud(AWS, Azure, etc.) using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Typescript,ReactJS, AngularJS,
GraphQLwith Hasura,
Seleniumor Cucumber testing frameworks
Exposureto Public Cloud (Azure preferred)
Distributeddatabase concepts
Kafka
Basicsof cloud development and Terraform
