Shipping and Receiving Lead is to responsible coordinating all activities of the shipping, receiving and warehousing department, and its operating associates to meet or exceed the company’s performance.Location: Schaumburg, ILPay: $24 - $26 an hour on first shift 6a-4p Monday through ThursdayJOB FUNCTIONSPerform all duties of Shipper/Receivers and Material Handling

Understand and comply with legal requirements by enforcing policies and procedures: Federal, State, and Local laws.

Select best shipping companies based on shipping rates, on-time deliveries and services, and responsible for issuing and collecting claims with shipping company.

Document product movement by recording units shipped and received. Match load with PO, and document materials and supplies disposition.

Comply with all ISO requirements including positive release and COC documentation; comply with all AIB requirements, including raw material receiving, pre-inspection of shipping vehicles, and daily cleaning schedules.

Receive credit return material and supplies by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number; quantity and placing materials in stock.

Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, loading and securing product in accordance with SOP.

Maintain proper inventory levels of all packing supplies, pallets, assure accuracy of all packing lists and labeling.

Maintain all inventory by identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in bays or racks; recording location of inventory.

Control and minimize inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.

Maintain physical condition of warehouse (order and cleaning) by planning design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

Handle, sort and sells all recyclables including obtaining the best price on scrap.

Assist with maintaining shipping, receiving and warehousing staff job results by coaching and counseling employees

COMPETENCIESKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Minimum high school diploma: 2-year Associate’s degree preferred

Computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

The ability to lead a diverse workforce

Willingness to take charge, offer direction, and accept feedback

Must be reliable, responsible, and personally accountable for results

The ability to foster teamwork and create a safe and viable work environment

Must have the ability to grasp and understand the technical knowledge of all equipment.

EXPERIENCEShipping / Receiving experience, preferably in a related industry

Experience working with equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and stretch wrapping equipment

3-years’ experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting preferred
