SummaryAbout the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Chief, Managerial Accounting Office. Incumbent works as a technical authority for approximately 750 Federal civilian employee payroll accounts and accomplishments related to civilian payroll issues. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Providing technical and regulatory assistance to managers and timekeepers on recording, correcting and overall processing of civilian time and attendance; 2) Interpreting and advising on a wide range of law, policies, regulations, directives, entitlements and other guidance pertinent to civilian pay; and 3) Providing customer service to both internal and external customers of an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-07). OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR C. A combination of education and experience may be use to qualify for this positon as long the computed percentage of the requirement is at 100% one year of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required two years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
