You can find out moreat https://www.mitre.org/centers/we-operate-ffrdcs.Key FunctionsThe successful candidate will:- perform systems engineering analyses to identify functional andnon-functional requirements, interfaces, environmental factors, transitionstrategies, cost and risk considerations, and other issues pursuant tonew/replacement capabilities.- apply state of the art techniques,using multiple programming languages, tools and development environments todrive advances in mission capabilities for sponsor and internal MITRE projects.- construct and test prototypes inMITRE or sponsor labs and use findings to inform the development of technicalstrategies, roadmaps and acquisition approaches.- apply technical background insoftware systems development, distributed software and/or data architectures toguide the transformation of military transportation systems.- provide software, communications, networking and cybersecurityrecommendations to inform requirements lifecycle from generation throughdeployment and testing.- apply data sciences techniques,including but not limited to, machine learning approaches, data visualization,and statistical modeling.- work with customer, government, contractor, and other stakeholders in a fullycollaborative environment and leverage other efforts as appropriate to mitigaterisks.- provide strategic technical guidance to acquisition and system developmentefforts to develop, evolve, and enhance transportation domain systems andoperations.QualificationsRequiredQualifications :The selected candidate shouldhave:- a Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematicsfield- be eligible for a U.S. security clearance.- demonstrated technical leadership experience- technical depth in a specific technical domain (e.g. software engineering,network operations, enterprise systems development) or mission domain (e.g.defense or commercial transportation, air mobility, military operations)Preferred Qualifications :The selected candidate mayhave:-Master’s or PhD in computer science, software systems engineering, or a relatedtechnical field- 5 or more years of experience in software systems engineering or a relatedfield- Experience with enterprise systems planning, architectures, development, anddeploymentJob Systems EngineeringPrimary Location United States-Illinois-ShilohThis requisition requires a clearance of SecretTravel Yes, 20 % of the TimeJob Posting Mar 24, 2020, 11:13:22 AMReq ID: 00055498MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
