We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication throughout.SHIFT:1st Shift: Mon - Fri, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PMSUMMARY:Repairs and maintains compressed air systems, boiler systems, fume incineration systems, vacuum systems, air conditioning systems and energy management systems. Is responsible for physical plant well being; roofs, walls, floors, piping systems, etc. Assists and directs other building staff employees on limited project work requirements.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training requirements as listed in Federal Mogul Skokie EHSSP0006 and EHSSP 0048 control documents for maintenance employees.
Follows safety rules, participates in safety meetings, notifies supervisor of unsafe conditions and events hazardous to others or the environment.
Completes paperwork correctly and legibly
Maintains work area in a safe manner
Technical skills to operate hand and power tools to work safely in a maintenance environment
Ability to work under less than perfect conditions such as outside in inclement weather for extended periods of time.
Visually inspects and listens to equipment may use instruments to detect cause of malfunction
Valid truck drivers license.
Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings and CBT, and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Required SkillsRESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the flow of product brought to the areas; processes first articles and final audits.
Identify process, material and paperwork problems using Oracles notes, blueprints, SPC layouts.
Process requests from manufacturing in a timely manner so product flow is not interrupted using first in first out methodology.
Make product quality decisions with little or no supervision.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Operate various equipment such as: ovens, printers, coaters, mechanical press, spot weld machine and ink stamp machine.
Read and interpret bills of material, routings, work instructions and other shop paperwork.
Perform simple math calculations.
Interpersonal skills
Complete forms correctly and legibly
Operate hand truck
Ability to read and understand press cards, procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs daily
Ability to pull, push, stoop, bend, climb, and stand for long periods of time
Manual dexterity required to operate machines
Attention to detail to identify defects in parts and malfunctions in equipment and motors
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in areas that can be uncomfortable due to noise, odors, and temperature extremes.
Works regularly with machines where carelessness could result in cuts, bruises, burns or muscle pulls. Serious injuries can be avoided if established safety precautions are followed.
