This is a resource position and is limited benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled on rotating shifts with on-call requirements. Must be flexible to float to Evanston Hospital.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
Perform MRI examinations for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures
Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
Review MRI images to ensure optimum quality
Assist with patient/family participation in post-procedural care for all age groups and provide resource information, as directed
QualificationsOur ideal candidate will have:
Certificate or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program
CPR certification required
IEMA license required
ARRT registered required
Previous experience as a MRI Technologist preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required
