Technical Support Specialist
Locations: Quincy / Jacksonville / Springfield, IL
Duration: 12-month contract to start with potential to go long term
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking customer-focused Technical Support Technicians with significant experience in end-user computer support. Candidates must have extensive technical knowledge and expertise in desktop systems. Travel throughout the entire IL territory will be required.
The primary responsibility of this position will be installation of new hardware and peripherals.
The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work well with co-workers in a variety of situations, and the ability to communicate issues and concerns to management in a timely manner.
Must be a fast-paced, self-motivated worker with a high degree of persistence with a desire to independently find solutions to difficult problems while knowing when to utilize team resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
Install/Upgrade desktop hardware, drivers, memory, hard drives and other peripherals, as required.
Provide desktop support in a multi-site environment.
Evaluate and document hardware and software configuration procedures.
Knowledge of desktop security issues and the relationship to overall network and system security
Experience with OS deployments/imaging in the enterprise is required.
Experience with issue tracking and follow-up is required.
Technical understanding of Windows 10 required.
Exceptional organization & communication skills, both verbal and written required.
Experience using SharePoint, Teams, Yammer, etc.
SCCM knowledge preferred.
Previous IT Service Desk experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Work Hours/Days: M-F core hours of 9am to 3pm, can be flexible, ie: 6am to 3pm up to 9am to 6pm.
