Job Description

Position Summary:

The goal for the Project Manager position is to understand and lead all aspects of the project. At Holland Constructions Services, the Project Manager is responsible for overall coordination of assigned projects in a timely, profitable, and professional manner. Plan, organize, direct and control the preparation and execution of construction contracts to meet company objectives of cost, quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with company safety program at all times.
  2. Maintain positive, working relationships with owners, design professionals, subcontractors and other team members.
  3. Confer with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction-related problems.
  4. Be active in the Preconstruction process and ensure it is accurate and complete,
  5. Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.
  6. Maintain all profit and performance responsibility on projects.
  7. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost-tracking reports.
  8. Site visits to review quality of work being performed.
  9. Nurture client relationships both during and after projects to ensure customer satisfaction and to maximize potential for repeat business.
  10. Serve as a mentor to manage and train interns, project engineers, assistant project managers and other direct reports.
  11. Demonstrate leadership to all members of the project team, including those outside the organization.
  12. Exemplify HCS culture for maximum customer satisfaction and team performance.
  13. Demonstrate the soft and technical skills necessary to promote the growth of direct reports and other team members.
  14. Contribute to company improvement by offering ideas and being involved in core committees. Attend offered training courses and utilize the skills learned

Qualifications

  1. Three to five (2-3) or more years experience in project management for a general contractor.
  2. BS in construction management, civil engineering, or related degree preferred.
  3. Ability to make educated decisions under tight deadlines.
  4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize, utilize and motivate team members to meet goals. Must possess strategic thinking/planning skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and facilitation/presentation skills with the ability to build rapport with all employees and managers.
  6. Act with integrity and show support for the company and its culture/values
  7. Computer literacy required.

Additional Information

The working conditions of the Project Manager are generally in an office environment but will occasionally involve activities on jobsites and at client meetings.
