  • Research: Usingtesting.com; AirTable for surveys; someone who is good at customer interviews by phone or teams
  • Design: They work in Sketch, could be moving to Figma. They use abstract and work in Adobe Suite.
Primary Purpose: As part of our digital transformation, we are seeking a Senior UX Writer to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Global User Experience, this individual will play a key part in designing content for internal stakeholders and external customers Responsibilities:
  • Partner cross-functionally (e.g., UX, Digital Adoption, Marketing Automation, Merchandising, Marketing, Corporate Communications, etc) to ensure all digital content is consistent, on-brand, accessible, and following UX and SEO best practices
  • Write UX microcopy, user interface copy, labels, navigation, product copy, email copy, and long-form content
  • Conduct content audits to inform website content strategy
  • Work with UX research to test usability of content design and language
  • Execute against SEO recommendations to ensure copy is optimized
  • Follow accessibility best practices for all content
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints (voice, style, tone)
  • Measure effectiveness of content and adjust as necessary

This individual will be an integral part of a cross-functional team working to prioritize the most significant opportunities to support our users and the business. They will be an effective diplomat with strong communication and organizational skills. This person should be patient, understanding, ego-free and eager to give and receive constructive feedback. This role will require the individual to be comfortable in a fast-paced organization.

Key Deliverables:

Deliverables: % of time spent (Total 100%) Create and edit UX microcopy, user interface copy, labels, navigation, product copy, email copy, and long-form content

70% Partner with UX research and actively participate in content testing 10% Gain alignment on content with cross-functional stakeholders 10% Collaborate with UX, digital adoption, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements and prioritize content needs 10% Performs other related duties as required or requested. As needed

Education/Experience/Training:
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • An exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong writing skills and a solid understanding of UX, accessibility, and SEO best practices
  • Experience with testing content with users to inform improvements
  • Experience measuring effectiveness of content
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Proficient in Sketch, XD, Invision, Abstract and other design tools
Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to defend content decisions, influence others, and gain alignment with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of UX writing best practices
  • Ability to take complex concepts and distill into straightforward and concise content that resonates with target audiences
  • Intuitively balance when to compromise to get the essential work done on time and when to push for the ideal process.
  • Experience working closely with UX designers and researchers to understand and use user research to guide content decisions
