• 6+ years of domestic DBA experience• Experience as a DBA in implementation, administration, and in testing of Oracle databases.• Technical training and experience in Database Administration, Performance and Tuning, and Backup and Recovery. Requires experience with OEM and RMAN, Multitenant and Data Guard, patching, data retrieval, scripting in Unix shells and PL/SQL, performance tuning. Experience with Oracle DB in AWS.• Knowledge of the systems development life cycle.• Requires experience with file structures, design, retrieval, and access methods, etc. Experience establishing guidelines, procedures, and standards for database administration.• Requires excellent analytical, communication, and consultative skills, ability to write technical documentation, as well as sound judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients and other IT management and staff.Intake Call Notes:12-month project now focused on migrating from Legacy Allergan Oracle database to Client Oracle Database as part of the AMM integration program (Application Migration and Modernization).If an application being migrated is in the cloud, the corresponding DB will also likely be in AWS or Azure, AWS experience is very important for this reason.Client's procedures are very complex in nature, candidates must possess the necessary skills to be productive right away. It takes every new consultant a month to get trained up on our environment. If candidates don’t possess the necessary skills it will take too long to train up resources and Client will lose time on the AMM program.Oracle Enterprise Manager is very importantData Domain for Backup (other backups solutions such as NetBackup are okay)Experience with Oracle TDE across all production and development databases is importantClient is migrating to Oracle 19Ideal candidate will have increased communication with clients and should have the skills to support thisMost of our work migration "project" work not support work, meaning resources are expected to come to the table with more experience than just responding to tickets.
