Description Robert Half currently has a full-time position open for an experienced Senior Accountant with drive and know-how to join a rapidly-growing team in the Oakbrook, Illinois area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process Requirements - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Skilled at time management
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Cash Flow Analysis experience
Deep understanding of month end closings
Prepare Financial Reports experience desired
Experience with ERP systems
