Job Description
Two West, a twenty-nine bed unit, is the location of Marianjoys neuromuscular program but also provides care for a wide variety of high acuity patients including transplant, LVAD, and oncology patients. Our rehabilitation team is comprised of physicians, resident physicians, nurses, therapists and nursing assistants working together to provide exceptional care for this acute population of adults eighteen and older. The variety of patients on the unit provides the opportunity for nurses to advance their skills and offers a fast-paced, team-oriented experience similar to that of a Medical Surgical Unit in a Rehabilitation Hospital setting. This is a part-time PCT position scheduled to work the Night shift from 10:30pm to 7:00am 32 hours a week,64 hours biweekly on our Neuromuscular Unit at Marianjoy in Wheaton. The PCT assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critically ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Reinforces teaching previously taught by RN. AA/EOE
Qualifications
Requirements: Minimum: Current Nursing Assistant certification. Exception-if a nursing student, CNA is not required if two clinical rotations have been completed.
