Job Description
An Endoscopy Registered Nurse is a clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. As a professional nurse in Endoscopy, utilizes critical thinking, therapeutic communication, and interpersonal relationship building skills and strives to improve team effectiveness, system processes and patient outcomes across the continuum of care.Qualifications
Required: 1+ years' experience in a similar position, BSN for new hires as of 1/1/2011, 20 CEU/2 years, State of Illinois RN License, CERT BLS, CERT ACLS, Basic computer knowledge, Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing, Excellent customer service skills, Must be flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, weekend hours and on-call responsibilities
