First shift position 6 am - 2:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Job Summary:
Hand chisel stone architectural components to specifications from detailed shop tickets and templates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Measure, examine, and fabricate in a manner to assure conformance to specifications specific to each project.
Apply all patterns to confirm uniformity to the drawing specifications.
Layoff, saw, chisel, and grind stone.
Check tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as tape measure, calipers, and squares.
Align, adjust, and secure all cutting tools and templates required for completion of each project.
Layout measure and mark stock to facilitate accurate and efficient fabrication.
Observe and listen to pneumatic and electric powered hand tools to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments and repairs.
Advise the supervisor of discrepancies or concerns regarding the equipment being operated or the stock material being used.
Heavy labor tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, bending, and walking must be performed.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
