Position Summary:

The Data Analytics Architect will work as part of the data team to design and develop data & analytics architecture and data solutions to get business value out of the organization's and third-party data. The role will work to identify and define master data, data governance, and data analytics opportunities for the organization. Then will work to design technologies and solutions to address those opportunities. This role will work closely with other parts of IT and the business to ensure we can execute on our data opportunities. The role will require putting the right people, processes, and technology together for data programs and projects. The Data Analytics Architect I will stay up to date on appropriate data technology and business trends.

Essential Position Duties:
  • Design/build data architecture and integration architecture
  • Guide / direct teams to carry out data programs and projects
  • Analyze and make recommendations for improving data architecture
  • Working with business to understand processes and their data needs, challenges, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with business, data, and organizational leaders on process improvement and data quality and governance opportunities
  • Conduct research for industry and business questions
  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
  • Prepare data for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive modeling
  • Identifying patterns and trends
  • Gathering requirements and doing data gap analysis
  • Develop reports and analysis for leadership
  • Support audit and data compliance procedures
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
  • 10+ years' experience with data systems/solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in informatics, data science, computer science or related degree
  • Experience with manipulating data with SQL, Python or related technologies
  • Experience creating database objects or working in notebooks
  • Experience leading data solution projects
  • Experience with handling multiple projects in time sensitive environment
  • Knowledge or experience with master data management and related concepts
  • Cloud and/or Big Data experience
  • Visualization tool experience (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience using statistics for analysis

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
