Vaco Technology is currently searching for a

QA and Product Support Engineer for a direct hire role located in Southern Indiana. This will be a hybrid schedule and will require one or more days per week in the office.

The company cannot sponsor or transfer sponsorship and is unable to work C2C at this time.

The focus of this role is to provide all QA (automated and manual) and Tier III product support for a custom mobile application deployed on proprietary hardware devices. Additional QA and support will also be provided for a web portal that supports the product's customers.

QA Responsibilities

  • Automated and manual testing of a Mobile App (iOS and Android)
  • Automated and manual testing of a cloud-based Web Portal
  • Log issues in Azure DevOps to provide documentation to the development team for resolution
  • Follow-up and re-test features as required to complete QA process
  • Unit and Regression Testing of both new and existing features
  • Internal and External Customer Support for the Web Portal and Mobile App

Tier III Support Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and technical support to both the internal Customer Service team as well as the end users if/when as case is escalated
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing the back-end data for issues, and when necessary, correcting errors in the data

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience with Relational Databases
  • 5+ years' Customer Support
  • Experience in QA / Unit testing software targeting a mobile platform
  • Experience troubleshooting customer software issues
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Oracle Support, or similar ticketing system
  • The ability to competently and patiently work with non-technical people to solve technical issues

Preferred

  • MS SQL Server experience
  • Previous software coding experience
