Work Shift: 2ND SHIFT (United States of America)The Harvester is responsible for hanging live birds on conveyor shackles at a rate of 28 birds per minute. The work environment in the Harvest Room is dark and very dusty as the birds come straight from the farm to our hanging pen. Interested candidates must not be afraid to pick up and handle dirty birds. Must be physically fit to handle the fast paced environment.DUTIES:

Lift and hang birds by their legs on moving conveyor shackles.

May be required to assist supervisor in clean-up operations.

Rotate work stations with others in department.

Constant, repetitive bending and twisting of back while hanging small birds.

Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to perform duties while standing for duration of shift.

Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.

Must be able to handle small live birds continuously throughout shift.

Must be able to hang 28 birds per minute.

Must be able to work in a dark and very dusty environment.

Must be able to tolerate strong odors.
