Job Description: Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Security clearance; interim secret possible

Summary:

The selected candidate should have experience with Embedded C, aviation (Air navigation systems or helicopter specific preferred), software and hardware knowledge (circuits, scopes). The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing software for program development and performing unit and integration testing. The candidate will also support the development team as needed, including, but not limited to, design, implementation, analysis, and testing.

Job Duties:

Will be doing work primarily in C-development but need to understand the hardware side for connecting and what the software can do and collaborating with that side of the team
- Need to understand cause/effect on hardware (Oscilloscopes, circuit cards, etc.) i.e. will it make them too hot etc.
Will be primarily upgrading existing systems but may do some new development as well
Will be in charge of testing their software in-person on the systems as well as writing
Design and develop software for program development
Perform unit and/or integration testing
Perform peer reviews
Create design documentation notes
Support the development team as needed, including, but not limited to, design, implementation, analysis, and testing

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field and 8+ years related experience.
Secret clearance
Hardware AND software experience
C Test Code or C Embedded Code
Familiar with C Language (without LabWindows would be fine)
Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553
Knowledge of RS-422/485
C based code
Programming skills required for C/C in embedded applications (microcontrollers)
