- Defining the product vision and roadmap.
- Develop pricing strategy based on addressable market and competitors.
- Ensure the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
- Maintaining product support documentation.
- Working closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Working with an Engineering counterpart to define product release requirements.
- Working with Marketing communications to define go-to-market strategy and help understand product positioning, key benefits and the target customer.
- Working with Sales to understand key features and trends of the sales channel.
- Define product strategy and roadmap.
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Partner with key internal product stakeholders to prioritize features/additions/updates.
- Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research.
- Drive a product solution across development teams (Engineering, Marketing, Sales) through market requirements and positioning.
- Collect requirements from product team/market/end users, and input requirements/stories for processing by engineering team.
- Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
- Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
- Maintain existing partner relationships with regular meetings, touch-bases.
- Remain apprised of industry trends impacting customer wants, needs and expectations.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of software product ownership and marketing experience
- 1+ years' experience in camera and digital recording technology such as CCTV, Video Streaming, Cloud Based Security
- Experience with launching cloud applications and SaaS business models
- Experience in a SaaS based recording/video product
- Familiarity with video streaming protocols (RTSP, WebRTC, HTTP, SIP)
- Mobile application development experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Analytical and quantitative skills; able to resolve issues with well-structured analysis
- This position may require travel to customer and non-customer sites as well as trade conferences
