We are constantly improving our manufacturing team and looking to find a talented Graphic Design & Digital team member to support our growth and commitment to fulling our company Mission Statement.

Responsibility:

Produces, and amends digital files to prepare the files for printed materials by studying job specifications; setting-up, operating, adjusting, controlling, and maintaining printing & finishing equipment.

Duties:

Individuals desiring to work in digital printing manufacturing industry should have a variety of skills that make them well-suited for the job. Clear vision, correct color perception and hand-eye coordination are crucial. Employees must also be willing to handle the chemicals used in printing ink. Since digital printing and finishing is considered a skilled trade job, it is best suited for people who enjoy detailed practical manual work. Other important traits include self-motivation, problem solving skills, creativity, organizational skills and ideally knowledge of digital and other printing and finishing equipment.

Understands printing job requirements by studying job specifications; assessing requirements for digital and other printing methods ; organizing job sequence; retrieving/ordering required ink and paper; inspecting files.

Establishes printing quality by pulling proof copies; adjusting ink distribution, speed, and drying temperatures.

Sets-up and maintains production and quality by loading and setting inking mechanisms; setting computer controls; inspecting random production samples; loading material; adjusting settings and controls; correcting jams and tears.

Minimizes downtime by troubleshooting stoppages and breakdowns; calling for maintenance assistance.

Shuts-down printing presses by removing ink and material; cleaning parts and components; returning materials and ink to stock.

Ensures press operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Monitors press supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating supplies requirements; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

May assist bindery requirements by operating cutters, collators, banders, staplers, drills, etc.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Work as part of a team, be flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced office environment

Skills/Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

AS or BS degree from a College, Technical College, or pursuing a Degree in art, print, or similar field is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

AS or BS degree from a College, or pursuing a Degree in art, print, or similar field is preferred.

Strong MAC & PC proficiency utilizing Adobe Illustrator & InDesign. Microsoft Office.

Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent organization and follow through skills

Excellent interpersonal, great phone etiquette, written, and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of manufacturing customer service processes and printing preferred

Work as part of a team, be flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced office environment
