About the Opportunity DMI in Indianapolis is actively seeking a Solution Architect to join our talented team of consultants. Are you an architect with an Object-Oriented background who has embraced modern web development? Do you want to architect & build enterprise-grade client-side based systems using tools like TypeScript and JavaScript in frameworks like Angular with Node.js deployed in a cloud platform such as AWS? Your Responsibilities- Coaching and mentoring fellow team members
- Leading application development efforts
- Coding, debugging, and supporting cloud-based applications
- Ensuring the quality and technical excellence of enterprise grade solutions
- Designing application architecture
- Taking ownership of an application
- Planning and executing technical application details
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer and/or architect including experience leading development teams
- Deep background leading a team working in an Agile methodology to develop software
- Deep experience applying design patterns in Angular 5+/TypeScript, Vue, React, or similar
- Extremely proficient in object-oriented development and design patterns
- Experience creating solutions using PaaS with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Established success designing and implementing serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda
- Proven ability to design and develop microservices and their supporting structures
- Solid understanding of testing tools such as Karma, Jest, Protractor, Jasmine, and Mocha
- Strong experience in Web Service integration, asynchronous request handling, partial page update, etc.
- Established experience in Node.js
- Experience using build tools like Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Bower, or similar
- Established understanding of Test-Driven development, unit testing, and clean code
- Worked with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, or similar.
- Superb written and oral communication skills
- Experienced in Test-Driven Development, unit testing, and clean code
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated and excellent presentation skills
- Ability to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience architecting solutions on AWS using Serverless framework(s)
- Ability to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience
- Experience in project technical estimation, component breakdown, and cross application communication
- Experience with developing testing strategies for complex applications
- Experience leading distributed and/or global teams.
