We Are HiringExercise Physiologist This position is located off Naab Road, Indianapolis. Shift will be Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4pm. No weekends, holiday or call hours. Cardiac and EKG experience strongly preferred. What You Will DoImplement and supervise physical exercise programs for patients.Responsibilities:Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen. Monitor patient's response and revise plan accordingly.
Recognize contradications and abnormal patient responses to exercise. Respond appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.
Provide exercise information for patients, peers and the community which may include public speaking and education classes.
Ensure department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and functioning correctly. Prepare, develop, and maintain various files, record, report; schedule patient appointments as required.
Provide oversight to department activities in the absence of the manager.
What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Indiana Athletic Trainers Board preferred.
Certification specializing in Sports Medicine preferred.
Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.
Education:Bachelors degree required.
Masters degree preferred.
