Description Robert Half is looking for candidates who want to join a dynamic, fast-growing team as a Payroll Clerk. This job will include supporting the Payroll department in a variety of functions, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively interact with both the internal team and outside customers. A Payroll Clerk opportunity, based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area, has become available on a long-term contract / temporary basis.What you get to do every dayFill in data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
Run and build custom reports
Administer and distribute reports as instructed
Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc Requirements - Previous payroll experience
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
Proficient in Payroll software
Skillful in learning new processes and systems
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Solid understanding of Full Cycle Payroll
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
