We Are HiringMedical Progressive Care Unit consists of 44 beds and a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 Join our family of dedicated, highly skilled nurses. St. Vincent’s Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU) is an intermediary step between ICU and the medicine floor. These patients still need a high level of skilled nursing care and surveillance but are more stable than patients in the ICU. Nurses on MPCU have opportunities to obtain skills that a lot of units do not. They have opportunities to get NIHSS, ACLS, IV U/S trained, SBFT placement, ABGs, precepting, mentoring, and charge nurse opportunities. They will gain so much knowledge and skills as well as develop professional and personal friendships. Patients We Serve: Our patient population is a large variety of diagnosed patients with multiple comorbidities: Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, CIWA, Unstable GI Bleeds, and Acute DVTs Experience preferred: Minimum of one-year clinical nursing experience as an RN in an acute care setting. St. Vincent Medical Progressive Care unit is located at 2001 W. 86 th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260 is hiring Full-Time, Night Shift - RN - 7:00pm – 7:30am, Sunday – Saturday; Full-Time (36 hours) a week; scheduled every third weekend and every other holiday. What You Will DoProvide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.Responsibilities:Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
