Job Description

As a Sr. Automotive Technical Writer, you will createand maintainservice documents,develop new and existing manuals & technical documentation, and actas liaison between the team, the Project Manager, and customers.

In addition, you will provideinput to the team leadershipregarding employee issues, performance, and any other issues that would requireadditional managerial support.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Creating and maintaining technical publications, such as Troubleshooting documents and/orOwners& Service manuals using client-supplied resources.
  • Distributing, monitoring, and reviewingwork that flows through the team.
  • Consultingwith various client contacts and subject matter experts to gather and disseminate product-specific information.
  • Developing wiring, diagnostic and technical-writing projects in multiple authoring environments.
  • Advisingthe Project Manager of project status and potential issues.
  • Preparingvarious reports utilizing Access, Visio, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, SGML or other computer programs.

This position requires the associate to work at a customer site in Indianapolis, IN.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a Technical focus or equivalent of 5 years of work experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Technical Writing
  • Able to read, comprehend and follow complicated verbal and written communication, such as client communications and technical information.
  • Knowledge of modern medium/heavy truck automatic transmission applications preferred.
  • Able to communicate ideas, in text format and verbally, in a clear, concise manner.
  • Proficiencywith Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency with structured data (XML, SGML) preferred.

Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship.

Not eligible for VA/VN assignment.
