Lead Risk Assessor Contractor - in Indianapolis, IN 46204 Position Title: Lead Risk Assessor Contractor Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204 Shift Timing: Mon - Friday 40.00 Hours Per Week Duration: Long Term Contract Skills and Experience: Position can be located remotely anywhere in Indiana will be field based but will require infrequent travel into main office in Indianapolis. Contractor is responsible for serving as a technical specialist in the areas of environmental hazards associated with the Lead and Healthy Homes division. Primary responsibilities include the performance of lead risk assessments complaint investigation training course monitoring and reviews/inspections of lead abatement work. This individual will work with families of children with elevated blood lead levels to help identify lead hazards in homes and develop plans to help remediate them. this individual will also act as a liaison to local health departments industry professionals training facilitators and the public within their region.

Essential Duites Responsabilits : Provide support in performing lead risk assessments for local health departments Assist with the completion of Home Visit Reports for elevated blood lead level EBLL cases as needed Assist with entry of risk assessment case management data into state ILEAD and NBS databases Assist EBLL cases with lead abatement grant applications Conduct follow-up visits for EBLL cases and clearance inspections for lead abatement work Prepare correspondence related to all inspections Attend public events on behalf of the Lead and Healthy Homes Division as needed Provide emergency response support to lead crisis situations including providing Risk Assessments support with screening clinics and other responsibilities as needed Assist with training on IDOH case management and risk assessment tracking databases Represent the Lead and Healthy Homes Program on various professional boards/committees Assist with the preparation of the State Plan annual report budgets and other materials needed to apply for funding Performs related duties as required
