- Analyze all system upgrades and applications, and ensure compliance to all program requirements and design all solutions for portal, and assist to resolve all production issues.
- Monitor and analyze all system metrics and maintain optimal performance for all portals and servers; maintain status for all portal projects; and assist to resolve all issues for new and existing channels; integrate new technology system into portal and coordinate with other administrators.
- Perform tests on all configurations, new releases and upgrade processes; and achieve all CSB-IT objectives; document and maintain knowledge on new technology and existing processes for all portal and server environments.
- Responsible for ensuring IBM AIX 7.2 and Amazon Linux 2 tools meet with the overall operating structure; may include sophisticated file maintenance routines, telecommunications networks, and computer accounting.
- Develops relationships with the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) staff to coordinate hardware, software, and technology issues and plans; collaborate and closely work with other DevOps units.
- Responsible for testing, debugging, and documentation of system software upgrades and new releases, also may include some program design and system enhancements.
- Provide end user support for related applications and systems.
- Elicit IBM and AWS maintenance assistance for issues or to update software.
- Evaluates new and existing software products that may complement the existing suite.
- Confers with department management to assist in planning, organizing, and controlling activities of assigned area.
- May oversee and work on multiple projects or project phases simultaneously.
- Defines system software and hardware requirements.
- Mentors and provides guidance to new and other DevOps staff members; conduct knowledge sharing sessions.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of installation, maintenance, backup and restore, and configuration of IBM AIX 7.2 TL4 or higher, and Amazon Linux 2.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server is a preferred.
- Experience with Splunk, Tableau, Palo Alto networking, Trend Micro security, or SailPoint IIQ is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge in information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities.
- Thorough knowledge in the use of tools and utilities to perform the system work.
- Thorough knowledge in performance and tuning techniques.
- Working knowledge of general cloud platforms.
- Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others.
- Ability to develop and execute system backup and recovery procedures and plans.
- Ability to work with other information technology support staff to understand software requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
