Vaco Technology is currently looking for an

IT Manager to lead an existing team that provides full support of IT function for a professional services company. This direct hire, onsite position for a company located on the Northwest side of Indianapolis

.

The company cannot sponsor or transfer sponsorship and is unable to work C2C at this time.

The IT Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and motivating a team of technology professionals to deliver excellent technical and nontechnical support. The position manages resources and processes required to design, plan, and support all information products and services.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage all servers, data center network hardware and equipment (routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, etc.)
  • Supervise staff responsible for implementation and integration of IT infrastructure including reviewing and evaluating staff performance (annual performance appraisals, ongoing goal setting and disciplinary actions)
  • Provide senior leadership to improve service delivery by identifying opportunities for improved processes and increased automation
  • Provide thought leadership to the infrastructure team
  • Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans, to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation
  • Participate in the development of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and the ongoing management of SLA compliance
  • Manage all network hardware and equipment (routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, etc.)
  • Assist the IT Director with the preparation and administration of departmental budget and business plans and metrics
  • Define processes and documentation in accordance with ITIL processes and standards and ensure compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Advanced Infrastructure Certification (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, VMWare)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of previous management experience
  • Security or Governance Certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL)
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, Lean, Agile)
