Description:Company in Michigan City, IN is searching for 2nd Shift CNC Machinist candidates for their Rotor Shop.Hours:2nd shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Monday through Friday)Pay:$18.75/hr to $24.00/hr (+$2.50/hr shift premium) depending on experienceJob Duties:
Setting up various CNC machinery (CNC grinders, mills and lathes)
In-depth blueprint reading
Completion of offsets and changing tooling
Ability to maintain tight tolerances (+/-.0005 (half thou))
Detailed reading of sampling plans, inspection reports, and documentation of part runs
Utilization of various gauges, micrometers, optical comparators and other quality instruments
First article inspections and checks throughout part runs
Assurance of accuracy and minimization scrapped parts
Additional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVE:
3+ years of CNC Machining experience
Previous experience with CNC grinders, CNC mills, and CNC lathes
Need Mazak Horizontal Mill or Integrex experience for 1st shift
Ability to work within +/-.0005 tolerances
Ability to lift 35+ pounds regularly
Would Be Nice:
Ability to program CNC machinery (from scratch or editing programs)
Job shop experience
Forklift/Overhead Crane experience
