Job Summary
- Responsible for the design, development, and processing of implant and instrument packaging under the direction of a project leader or manager.
- Will work in a matrix/cross functional product development environment.
- Will coordinate internal and external/contractor resources to develop solutions required to solve complex engineering problems.
- Have strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential.
- Designing for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimum cost
- Generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts
- Coordinating product evaluation with surgeons
- Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product
- Generating design assurance documentation for the project
- Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerances
- Active participation in development meetings with surgeons and key client personnel
- Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
- Helping to identify customer requirements for a new product
- Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements
- B.S. in Packaging Engineering or Engineering discipline required
- 1-3+ years of experience desired.
