Job Description
We are seeking a full-time
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for home health patients in Warsaw Indiana and the surrounding area.As a PTA, you will be responsible for tasks such as:- Providingrehabilitative physical therapy services to patients in their place of residenceunder the direction of the Physical Therapist based on the physician's plan of care
- Instructing patients on PT and related exercises
- Train and educate patient and caregivers on use of assistive devices
- Completing documentation to support the delivery of PT services
- Reporting changes in the patients' conditions to other members of the care team
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current or eligible for state license
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
Preference given to candidates who also have:
- Active membership with the American Physical Therapy Association (not required)
- One (1) year or more experience in home health setting
