Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities that will aid in performing the functions of the job. MAJOR DUTIES:Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current welding operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions (3D computer modeling).Develops and implements plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing through production systems. Designs operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.Participates in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency.Implements new manufacturing processes and technology.Experience in one or more related engineering areas: welding, industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, qualityExperience in Project management and business planning. Small strategic projects or larger tactical projects with medium complexity.Experience with engineering tools, systems and databasesExperience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management toolsQUALIFICATIONS:Background in Engineering (weld processes/applications, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.)Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering toolsKnowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilitiesMAJOR PURPOSE:Plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for a projector process. Operates in a team environment within either the enterpriseproduct delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At thislevel, projects are of limited scope and responsibility; work plans anddecisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed bysupervisors and/or managers.
