Job Description

Primary Duties:

  • Deep Knowledge and understanding of AM behaviors, practice them, train others, and promote it;
  • Make decisions based on data to support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Cooperate with all other departments so the plant meets all safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPI’s
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of items throughout
  • Daily Production WIP inventory walkthrough (Walks the lines and inspects point of use inventory status) proceeds to verify inventory status systematically to determine IF the planner needs to be notified
  • Monitors Status of on time and late supplier deliveries and works with the Planners to recover.
  • Communicates to Supply chain low inventory status of on hand inventory to determine if Expedites is needed
  • Communicates to Production lines material issues ahead of time to avoid disruptions (this allows the plant to change production planning days ahead of time of in some case same day planning) this communication is critical to avoid running glass that will sit on the floor longer than needed.
  • Analyze information, identify trends, proactively determine action plans to eliminate challenges, and present details to leadership
  • Perform physical inventories on specific items as necessary to ensure proper levels for plant operations.
  • Cross-train in other areas of Receiving as assigned by the Receiving Supervisor.
  • Possess a high sense of urgency and high level of pride in keeping an organized and accurate inventory system.
  • Conform to site health and safety procedures as appropriate.
  • Other activities as assigned by the Receiving Supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

  • Associates Degree or some level of Higher Education (beyond High School)
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong team working capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
  • Ability to drive a forklift and Order Picker and/or obtain suitable certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 15-30 lbs frequently during the shift.
  • Must be able to work a 40 hour work week, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • MS Access knowledge
  • AS400 (AIMS), ALWIN, Power BI, and previous ERP experience.
