Job Description

The QA is a quality auditor trained to perform line quality task. LQA’s will be assigned to a production group and/orrequired to rotate through all production groups.

Primary Duties:

1. Perform In-Process “Walk-the-Line” inspection to review/monitor with their respective production group operators:

  • Customer complaints (Quality Alerts)
  • Top 5 defects from the daily IQ 0-90 Day, Warranty Reports
  • Daily/Weekly FPA and daily In-Process (QA audit) findings
  • On the spot corrective action for immediate correction and to promote operator awareness.
  • Root cause investigate of FPA/QA findings.

2. Daily QA Audits are performed using tablets to electronically record results in the Qpulse Quality Database system. These In-Process Audits (QA Audits) verify SW process adherence/product compliance to ensure operators complete log sheets (if required); follow all SW steps; and proper training on the use of calibrated tools.

3. Perform DQC (Double Quality Control) inspection for their assigned production group.

4. Assist with operator training to ensure complete understanding of SW, regulatory and /quality requirements.

5. Performs secondary inspection as needed.

6. Responsible for use of proper Personal Protection Equipment & conform to site health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

  • Basic Computer and data entry skills (Microsoft Outlook, Alwin, Qpulse)
  • Interpersonal Skills are critical in this position. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. Must be capable of professionally handling and resolving conflict. Must be a positive advocate in implementing and supporting Company Quality Initiatives. Strong Team Working Capabilities.
  • Must be able to properly prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to make decisions on your own.
  • Comfortable to work within a shift structure system.
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch. Able to use Calipers successfully.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods & Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally & 30 lbs frequently during the shift.
  • Must be able to work a 40 hour work week, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Must be able to comprehend and understand the English Language
  • For Competency, must be able to pass written company exams; may be required to pass annual written exam.
  • Must be able to understand and follow Standard Work
  • High School Diploma

Qualifications Desired:

  • Associates Degree in Science, Engineering or Technology or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in a quality position
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
  • Previous production experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literate with experience working with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc)
