Sr. Data Analyst100% RemoteContract through 2022, likelihood of extensionTop Skills:• 7+ years of Data Analyst or Technical Business Analyst experience required• Experience in complex query writing• Experience working in Finance Systems• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is nice to have Looking for a Technical Analyst with experience creating queries from various data sources for finance reporting. This team owns the data requirements for all of Finance and they need a technical resource with the ability to create and provide queried data. A key responsibility will be looking at the existing finance data warehouse, data lake, and legacy systems to determine where the best source of data is for report mapping.• Recommends improvements to the database structure or Indexing methods to improve performance.• Creates reports based on data analysis findings and recommendations.• Supports information technology needs by recommending changes to create or modify databases.• Designs solutions for business problems by creating comprehensive plans for implementing solutions.• Interprets data to identify trends and draw conclusions about business performance.• Establishes guidelines for database design, including database security measures.• Analyzes large amounts of data to identify patterns or trends.• Provides data input, processing, retrieval, and output services using computer applications such as spreadsheets or database management systems (DBMS).• Creates database schemas that are compatible with existing systems.• Performs data analysis on AWS toolsets used for data transformation and reporting.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in IT. Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in data and query analysis. 2-4 years of industry experience also preferred.Preferred QualificationsBasic knowledge of insurance company operations. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally.
