Growing medium sized Independent insurance agency seeking a licensed customer service representative to work in our Johnston, Iowa office. The right candidate will service all lines of personal and commercial insurance in a fast paced office environment. The type of products our agency sells and services include Auto, Homeowner's, Umbrella, Commercial, and more. The qualified candidate is REQUIRED to have a current property and casualty insurance license in Iowa. One or more years of experience in a property and casualty insurance agency REQUIRED, preferably in an independent agency.
Duties:
Manage large amounts of incoming calls
Work with clients with changes, payments, and inquiries.
Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to
ensure resolution
Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
Take the extra mile to engage customers
Skills
Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
MUST be licensed in P&C and have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry
Track record of over-achieving quota
Dependability is a must.
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
Familiarity with AMS360 Management System
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
High school degree
