  • REMOTE WORK PERMITTED: Due to COVID-19, the client has agreed to allow the selected candidate to work remotely.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Candidate will be working within the Data Warehouse team to build Azure pipelines, transition data, document metadata, and work within the parameters of the Agency's data governance processes and policies. Experience using Azure Data Factory and a Data Lake in a production environment is required of this position. The Department of Human Services is transitioning their on-premise Data Warehouse to the Azure platform. This role will be integrated within the current team to help ensure the success of the project. REQUIREMENTS
  • Experienced in developing and implementing ETL solutions, Relational Databases, NoSQL, Data Management, and infrastructure capabilities. [10 YEARS]
  • Experience in developing ETL solutions using SSIS, SQL Server, and T-SQL stored procedures/views. [7 YEARS]
  • Experience in developing ETL solutions using Microsoft Azure Cloud Services [3 YEARS]
    • Azure Integration Runtime
    • Azure Data Lake
    • Azure Data Factory
    • Azure SQL Database
    • Azure SQL Data Warehouse (now Synapse)
    • Azure Resource Manager
  • Experience developing and implementing Source Control and CI/CD solutions using of using Azure Dev Ops. [2 YEARS]
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills, particularly with ETL processes in particular. [REQUIRED]
  • Clear and concise communication and technical writing skills. [REQUIRED]
  • Strong passion for helping developers connect people and communities through the cloud. [REQUIRED]
  • Database migrations from on-premise data stores and other cloud platforms to Azure [REQUIRED]
  • Hands-on working experience in COBOL/JCL/REXX/DFSORT or SYNCSORT - knows how to get into CICS, navigate, look at Vsam files, and run program files within CICS> lots of source systems come from a mainframe. [HIGHLY DESIRED]
  • Working experience of Infrastructure as Code methods, examples being Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, Powershell, or JSON scripting. [HIGHLY DESIRED]
