Software Developer DotNet Wes Des Moines, IO Stamford, CT Wood Land Hills, CA Full time PURPOSE: Builds and maintains effective information software applications that assist the company in minimizing administrative costs and maximizing information flow. PERFORMANCE METRICS: Meeting software application development timetables. Developing streamlined/effective applications code. Ensures code development follows Athene standards and best practices. Documenting software applications developed or changes to existing software applications. Unit test developed code to ensure minimal defects upon promotion to integration and QA testing. RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements changes to new and existing software applications. Provides accurate estimates for a single application. Demonstrates ability to resolve complex software issues related to a single application. Participates in design and codes small to large software applications as part of a team. Documents code with guidance from senior team members. Performs application testing to assure delivery meets the user's requirements. Assists project managers in conducting fact-findings, which will result in the formulation and definition of the system scope and objectives for developing or modifying information software applications. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively within own team, across other IT teams and management. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Analysis or equivalent work experience. EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of applicable application development experience. Knowledge of large-scale internal software applications or related technologies. Demonstrates strong understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes. Ability to prioritize tasks within the project and work with minimal supervision or guidance. Ability to work in a rapidly changing & dynamic environment. Familiarity with development best practices. Experience operating in an Agile environment a plus DOMAIN SPECIFIC SKILLS: Experience with .Net Framework and .Net Core, SQL, MVC required Experience with Angular preferred Derivatives knowledge preferred Experience with MatLab or Numerix a plus ?
