This position will work in a hybrid environment with a blend of remote days and in-office days. This is not a fully remote position.Relocation to Des Moines, IA required.

What you’ll doMonitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time. Implement efficiency improvements.Participate in 24x7 production support. Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers.Work with the IT Solution Delivery staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.Partner with IT Infrastructure, Solution Delivery, and Service Desk on database execution strategies.Create models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones. Monitor, optimize, and allocate physical data storage for database systems.Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.Perform database transaction and security audits. Establish appropriate end-user database access control levels.Provide guidance to other members of the team.

What we’re looking forExposure, experience, or willingness to learn SnowflakeWindow SQL Server 2008, 2013 Certifications and exposure to SQL Server 2016Detailed knowledge of SQL Server 2000 and 2005 and SQL2008 (R2 is desirable), SQL2013Ability to write Window scripts to support database maintenanceKnowledge of SCOM, SMS, Replication Services, and Integration Services is desirableStrong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practicesTechnical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting SQL and NoSQL databasesHands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experienceExpert in DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools
