The right candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef & Sous Chef to help assist and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen including but not limited to, taking direction, conducting regular inspections of the kitchen/dishwashing areas and equipment, as well as supervising and handling kitchen inventory.
The ideal candidate must also manage and professionally communicate with kitchen and Front of House members calmly and effectively under pressure, while encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation to ensure culinary standards and responsibilities are met.
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a Line Cook or Lead Line Chef in upscale casual or fine dining concept
Awesome sense of humor
Current & creative culinary voice
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures & familiar with industry's best practices
Adventurous Eater

Physical expectations include working in a standing position for long periods of time, as well as can reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. All food handlers' permits are required. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
