COLOR CONSULTANT DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Color Consultant in the Des Moines, IA area! We are currently seeking applicants to help represent Wella - Coty Professional Beauty in Des Moines and the surrounding suburbs. Help us be the face of our recognizable brands and educate our users on their must have hair color and products!
Color Consultants are outgoing, professional, licensed cosmetologists with great organizational and communication skills. A great comprehension of theory and practical experience working with hair color and the fundamentals of color correction are essential.
As an independent contractor, Color Consultants work 1-2 days a week from 10AM-3PM, hosting what we call "In-Store Events." In-Store Events are held at Sally Beauty stores. Our award winning brands include Wella Color Charm, Wella Color Tango, and Clairol Professional, supporting Sebastian Professional. During In-Store Events, Color Consultants work with professionals and consumers in Sally Beauty stores, offering technical expertise and exclusive same-day promotions. While there are no specific sales numbers Color Consultants are expected to reach, the goal is to increase sales through education. You will be supplied with everything you need to execute the In-Store Events.
Applicants should possess:
Current cosmetology license - actively working in a salon/school setting
Reliable transportation and willing to drive to various locations around the Des Moines area
Ability to lift and carry boxes of product/In Store Event table and banner
Desire to always learn
A professional image
Exceptional communication skills
Efficient use of time management
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
