Manpower is seeking Forklift Drivers to fill several shifts with our client located in Des Moines, IA
This is an excellent Temp-to-Hire opportunity!
DESCRIPTION: Will be operating a sit down propane hyster fork lift > 50% of the day. Will be using the forklift to deliver orders to their proper place in the warehouse. Correctly picking, checking, and preparing orders for shipment.
Safely load, unload, move and stack product using a forklift or other material handling equipment They will be handling up to 150 orders a day, so must be able to get in and out of the forklift multiple times a day.
TOOLS/MACHINES: Scanner, computer, sit down propane Hyster forklift more than 50% of the time
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally during shift. Will be typically lifting 5-20 pounds. Must be able to work an 8 hour shift.
SKILLS/CERT: Must have a high school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of forklift experience requested. Ideal candidate will be dependable, ability to run a scanner, have common sense, attention to detail, be able to keep up with a fast pace, be able to focus on quality, and lean the layout of the warehouse quickly
