SOFTWARE APPLICATION SUPPORT

Summary:
The main function of an application administrator is to manage and support critical business applications to ensure good performance and alignment with business goals. A typical application administrator interacts daily with internal customers and make sure their needs are being met while educating them on internal software products and capabilities, and the liaison with software vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform installation, configuration, administration, patching/upgrades and tuning of software applications. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application-related issues. Coordinate with customers and application vendors on technical issues, upgrades, licensing and maintenance renewals. Develop relationships with employees to better understand their processes and business needs. Partner with IT team members to ensure solid redundancy, recoverability and documentation exist for all critical business systems.

Capacity to communicate clearly and with presence; strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. Flexibility in the face of shifting priorities.
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in a technical specialty. 5 to 7 years of experience successfully supporting business applications, to include end user support, administration, maintenance and upgrades. Solid understanding of core Microsoft technologies.
Required Skills
This role will be very focused on supporting several CA/Broadcom offerings. Specifically, we are needing to upgrade our Siteminder(Single Sign on), the associated web agents, Directory, and Identity Manager. We also also need someone to help us plan out how to incorporate auto-provisioning into our SSO architecture. See attached doc for more details of skills.
