Role OverviewField Reimbursement Managers (FRMs) at Sonexus are critical front-line members who assist Oncology offices in resolving reimbursement issues that may create barriers to access for patients. By utilizing their expertise and knowledge of regional payer coverage, patient assistance, and reimbursement support, the FRM team travels to provider offices to educate office staff and break through access issues to help patients gain access to life changing therapies.Primary responsibilities include:
Manage patient assistance and reimbursement support services offered to providers, related to patient access to buy/bill and specialty pharmacy Oncology products
Educate provider offices, virtually and face-to-face, on local and regional payer issues, coding changes, reimbursement questions, and appropriate claims submission processes.
Establish relationships with healthcare provider offices to assist healthcare professionals in resolving payer coverage issues that may be barriers to product access in a compliant manner
Coordinate with patient support programs regarding available financial assistance program. Assist with determining coverage, reimbursement, and access options available for numerous Oncology products.
Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with client sales organization to act as a process and payer subject matter expert, in efforts to support the healthcare provider. Educate the sales organization on rules of engagement to educate and further clarify what is appropriate and compliant.
Must be able to analyze data and know how to convert the data into actional insight and next steps to facilitate patient access
Identify gaps in knowledge of provider offices regarding the buy/bill and specialty pharmacy process and help provide education to the office staff and physician
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of experience with specialty products in support of reimbursement and patient access
3 years of relevant experience in a FRM role
Previous experience managing customer interactions
Knowledge of FDA regulations, the global payer and distribution environment, and health care reimbursement from a patient and provider perspective (authorizations, miscellaneous J codes, billing coding, appeals process).
Knowledge of commercial and government payer systems
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
Bachelors degree required in related field
