Full Time Position
Receptionist - Bookkeeper: Must be organized, detail oriented and capable of handling interruptions while working on a project. Typing of at least 45 words a minute and ten key skills are required. General office and bookkeeping work for us and our clients in a relaxed yet professional office environment (Must like dogs). 32.0 to 40 hours per week depending on your needs. This job would be ideal for those with young children attending school. Tax season will require a minimum of 40-50 hours per week from January 1 through April 15. Office hours are 9 am to 5:00 pm. You will receive 10 days of personal time off, 6 days of paid holidays and a SIMPLE retirement plan.
Prior experience with QuickBooks, bookkeeping and payroll are real pluses but not required. An Associates Degree in Accounting would be applicable to this type of work however experience as a secretary or office clerk would also work. Other relevant office and accounting experience is good. I am willing to train the right person for this position.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Answering telephone and scheduling appointments
Preparing payrolls and payroll tax returns for multiple clients
Data entry for monthly write-ups
General office
Preparing letters
Filing
Beginning pay is a function of experience
